A heart can be seen. In this heart are Kaddi's hands, which just smudge paint on an illuminated background. She alludes with this image to the sensual connection between herself and colour.

Artist: Kaddi

"Bodypainting is a special form of connection and interaction between the self and the other person. In addition to relaxation and conversation, these interactions also enable joint action, compassion and coordination. I am in a symbiosis with my clients during the act of body painting." - Kaddi

"Aquatopia is an interdisciplinary artist collective that promotes water awareness. Aquatopia on Tour is a performative exploration of water as a symbol of life, and of change and awareness around water (issues).

With interactive artistic performances in public spaces, such as walking acts, we want to appeal to people emotionally and raise awareness of the importance of water as a vital resource." - Anoosh Werner

Do not disturb my circles

Artist: Kaddi

Model: Lucie

"In this artwork, I combine photography and painting to portray unwavering determination by depicting my good friend Lucie, her striking heart-shaped face paint and the circles that I then boldly painted by hand onto the printed image. A rebellion against rigid rules imposed on women or so-called female bodies.

We reject rules that dictate whether we wear make-up, how much or none at all, that our hair should be long, styled or hidden. That we should not be vocally proud of our achievements. That we should always smile, be caring, considerate and kind. Instead, we are passionate, educated and unbridled. When we work and love, it burns with intensity.

No longer restricted, the woman emerges, clear, expressive, visible, demanding what is rightfully hers.
The intense gaze, the dominant red tones and the deliberate breaking of the ordinary photo with thick black pen urges the viewer to acknowledge this demand without resistance." - Kaddi
